Mauricio Pochettino has been appointed as the new coach of Paris Saint-Germain following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.
The Argentine is taking charge over PSG after spending more than away from the game since being sacked by Tottenham.

Pochettino previously managed Tottenham, Southampton and Espanyol.
Tuchel was sacked on Christmas Eve despite PSG winning 4-0 over Strasbourg the night before.
Tuchel’s sacking was formally confirmed on Tuesday.
Pochettino played for PSG as a player during which He spent two-and-a-half seasons at the club. He made 95 appearances and won the Intertoto Cup.

The Argentine will be tasked with winning PSG their very first Champions League even though there is tough task to be done in Ligue 1.
PSG are currently third in the table one point behind Lyon and Lille. The French have had mixed form season which has seen them lose more league games this season than in the whole of the last campaign.
Injury and fitness problems have also plagued them with their star man Neymar currently out injured .

Pochettino’s first game in charge will be a trip to 14th-placed Saint-Etienne on Wednesday, and there will be silverware up for grabs almost straight away.
