Manchester united have confirmed the singing of FC Porto full-back Alex Telles on a four year deal with option of one year in addition. The deal is worth £15.4million.
The 27-year-old underwent a medical check at Carrington on Sunday night after the Red devils made a breakthrough in negotiation with the Portuguese side.

Telles is now Man United’s second summer signing following the singing of Donny Van de Beek for a fee of £40m from Ajax. Uruguayan and former Paris Saint Germain striker Edison Cavani is expected to join United on deadline day on a free transfer.
Man united had been in talks with FC Porto over the left-back for the past few weeks but the transfer fees proved to be a stumbling block.
United’s Initial bid was rumored to around €13.2 million (£12m/$15.6m). The Brazilian international defender was in the final year of his contract with Porto. The transfer fees of €15m with an additional €2m in add ons was agreed on Sunday and united paid to seal the signing.
Telles’ arrival is to bring competition to England international Luke Shaw at left-back and should also bring a different dimension to United’s attack from the fullbacks. Telles scored 13 goals and assisted 12 in 49 appearances across all competitions last season.
