Manchester united are set to sign Ajax and Dutch midfielder Donny van der Beek for a fee rumored to be €40m.
The red devils are expected to return to pre-season this week and have snapped the midfielder as their first signing of the summer. The 23-year-old has already agreed personal terms and is expected to undergo medical check before the deal can be completed.

Van de Beek has been on United’s radar for a while and his signing will strengthen their midfield option for the upcoming season.
Ajax manager Erik ten Hag fuelled speculations over de Beek’s future at Ajax ahead of their past friendly match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
“There have been some developments that made us decide us to keep him out of today's squad," Ten Hag told Ziggo Sport.
“We will see what happens. We'll make an announcement as soon as there's some clarity.”

Manchester United are willing to offer Donny Van de Beek a five year contract and significant pay rise on his current earnings of £30,000-per-week.
The Dutchman scored ten goals in 37 appearances for Ajax Amsterdam last season.
Solskjaer's conversation with Van de Beek is rumoured to be the deciding factor for the dutch man to sign for United.
